Canoe: Stewarts LandingThe Stewarts Landing canoe
paddle allows you to experience
the beauty & tranquility of
The Adirondack Mountains
up close with stunning scenery.
From the four corners in
Middleville, N.Y. (Rt. 28 & 169), take Rt. 29 for about 20 miles
to Emmonsburg Rd. then a
slight right on Rt. 119 until
a left on Stewarts Landing Road,
after about 10 miles you will see
Stewarts Landing Dam.
After launching at the dam,
a peaceful paddle upstream will
bring you through a channel of
water along Canada Lake.
Once you see the water open
to a small body of water, stay
on the right shore where you will find two small, secluded picnic
areas which are also N.Y.S.
designated camping spots.
The paddle to the picnic areas
takes less than two hours at a
leisure paddle.
